Superbike Queen monitors all the newest bikes from the best motorcycle brands in the world.

Here are some of our favorite new motorbikes that are hitting the market in 2024.

2024 BMW M 1000 XR

We are all aware that the average age of motorcyclists is increasing, and those who used to ride sports bikes in the past may find it challenging to fit onto the extreme superbikes of today. However, this doesn't mean that their thirst for high-performance machines has diminished. BMW makes this abundantly clear with the introduction of the M 1000 XR.

Derived from the S 1000 XR, which featured a detuned version of the inline four-cylinder engine from the S 1000 RR in a sports touring chassis and riding position, the M 1000 XR follows a similar path. However, with 200 horsepower at its disposal and a top speed of 174 mph, it's safe to say that the term "detuned" doesn't quite do justice to its formidable capabilities. Equipped with M brakes and M winglets, this bike is poised to be a formidable force, whether on the road or the track.

2024 Aprilia RS 457

Superbike Queen loves the new Aprilia range. Many manufacturers are turning their attention to the smaller classes in the pursuit of sales success, and Aprilia has entered the arena with the new RS 457. Propelled by a liquid-cooled DOHC twin-cylinder engine generating 47 horsepower, this model bears a striking resemblance to a miniature RSV4, a resemblance that certainly works in its favor. The aluminum frame cleverly utilizes the engine as a stressed member, contributing to its impressively light weight of just 385 pounds.

Bringing once flagship features to this smaller class, the RS 457 boasts ride-by-wire throttle, offering three riding modes, along with dual-channel ABS. The inclusion of a full-color TFT dash and a moderately sporty riding position further elevate its technological profile. If the RS 457 inherits all the distinctive Aprilia DNA, it is poised to deliver an immensely enjoyable experience on both road and track.

This bike may be perfect for beginners wanting to get familiar with sports bikes. This price is attractive and with its 457cc engine its not too scary.

MSRP: $6,899 USD

2024 Honda CBR RR-R Fireblade

Honda’s has come a long way since 1992 when they introduced the first generation 893cc CBR900RR which had a completely redesigned body and frame. The seventh generation of the CBR1000RR also known as the FireBlade in some countries was introduced in 2004 and had been designed keeping the World Superbike Championship in mind.

Honda’s racing exploits haven’t lived up to the company’s high standards in recent years and the latest revamp for the CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade is squarely aimed at addressing the on-track problems of its racing equivalent and bringing it back to the front of the grid.

While new winglets give away the 2024 model, the changes are much deeper, including a revamped engine, revised frame, new suspension and brakes to create a bike that’s a substantial step forward compared to the model it replaces.

The Panigale V4 S represents the last step in the characteristic path of the Borgo Panigale sports bikes and it takes life from Ducati Corse long-time experience married to continuous knowledge and technology sharing from the world of racing directly to production bikes.

With the newest 2024 version, the Panigale V4 S project completes the most significant evolution since its birth. The improvements involve all areas including: aerodynamics, ergonomics, engine, chassis and electronics. The result is an even faster bike on the racetrack and at the same time more intuitive and less tiring for a wide range of riders. 2024 MV AGUSTA Brutale 1000 RR Assen

MV Agusta continues its tradition of releasing limited editions Superbikes that pay tribute to history, iconic brands, legendary racers, and now, a renowned track. Drawing inspiration from the historic Assen Circuit, often referred to as the Cathedral of Speed, MV Agusta unveils the 2024 limited-edition Brutale 1000 RR Assen.

Crafted in Italy, the Brutale 1000 RR Assen serves as a nod to MV Agusta's remarkable 35 victories on the Assen Circuit, solidifying its status as the most successful Italian manufacturer in racing history and the third overall in successes on the Dutch track. 2024 Yamaha YZF R9

Is this the potential design for Yamaha's upcoming R9? The 2024 Yamaha YZF-R9 is poised to claim the top spot in the 900cc sports bike category. Anticipated to showcase a more assertive design, the R9 will be propelled by the familiar 889cc inline-triple engine found in the XSR900DB40, promising a dynamic riding experience. Notably, it's rumored to come with a more budget-friendly price tag compared to the Yamaha R1.

Expect the new Yamaha R9 to deliver a potent performance, housing the same engine as the current generation MT-09 – an 890cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline triple. With the MT-09 boasting 117 horsepower, the R9 is likely to offer similar or slightly increased power, placing it in the league of competitors like the Triumph Street Triple RS. From an ergonomic perspective, the YZF-R9 is anticipated to feature low-slung clip-ons and high, aggressive rear sets, positioning it as a direct competitor to the MV Agusta F3. Stay tuned for further updates as we eagerly await more details on this exciting addition to Yamaha's lineup.
